    "Crescent" Nursing Concept Embraces Muslims Healthcare Needs

    A new version of parish nursing called "crescent" has been created by a Virginia University graduate. Parish nursing involves giving a nurse an opportunity to provide services in a Christian or Jewish place of worship. In crescent nursing, a Muslim nurse will render primary and preventative care to Muslim followers while the mosque will offer both location and support for the services, which is a new concept for America and this 21st Century. Crescent nursing with provide healthcare and religion-based nursing outside of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

    Online Education and Virtual Universities

    Internet online education has expanded the reach of the learning for soldiers now from corporate training to a virtual university.

    Promotion- Master's Degrees for 26 FA 39 officers

    The fiscal year 2000 lieutenant colonel promotion board selected 26 FA 39 officers for promotion, compared to twenty-two officers selected in last year's board. Of those chosen, nineteen were fully trained, and eleven were graduates of the fully funded FA 39 master's degree program. The FA 39 promotion-zone selection rate exceeded the Army's average two years in a row.
